The 28-year-old gymnast discussed her career on her terms in an interview with Olympics.com.
She expressed gratitude for her health throughout her Olympic pushes, saying she wants to choose when she's done.
Biles added that it takes time to rest her body, alluding to her time off since the Paris Games.

Biles' Legacy of Successful Comebacks

She completed extremely successful comebacks after both the 2016 and 2020 Olympics, taking a break during the year following each Olympics.
In 2018, Biles returned to gymnastics two years after the Rio Olympics and went on to win back-to-back World all-around titles.
Post-Tokyo 2021, Biles also took two years to recover, returning to the stage in 2023 and winning the World title later that year.

The Road to 2028

Biles did not rule out a potential LA 2028 run, which would be her first opportunity to compete in a home Olympic Games.
She said she's happy to have been in the stands and not competing at the U.S. Classic in Chicago last month.
Biles told competitors to trust the process as Team USA looks to rebuild post-Paris.
And when asked if she misses her time out on the competitive floor, Biles was tentative, saying it's only been a year.
But Biles says she doesn't feel the need to rush back to the gymnastics gym after more than 20 years of training.
So being right-side up is kind of nice, she said with a smile.
Biles finished on top of the podium three times in Paris, including a silver medal on floor exercise behind Brazil's Rebeca Andrade.
She expressed discontent with the thought of medical professionals stepping in to end her career.
Biles is grateful for her health and wants to choose her own ending, saying she's content to finish her career in Paris.
But she did not rule out a potential 2028 run, saying there's more to it and we'll definitely see.
